Now this condition is very hard and annoying: and especially when we look closely at our infirmity. Because we are so delicate that it doesn't take anything to put us in despair. Let us therefore learn to rest in this hope, that in the end we will be drunk, and that God will provide for all our needs: and that if today we are there like those near death, because they have no strength to maintain themselves, nor help for that matter: even then that we are in such extremity, that nevertheless this hope supports us like a firm support, and that we look to God whose office is to satisfy those who are hungry.
