SUNDAY
SCHOOL REPORT OF THE VISIT TO BRAND NEW DAY, INC., ON DEC 1st
2001
The
Sunday School team, President (Mr.Ajay Damarapu) and Treasurer
(Mr.Simon Bushi) of UECF had an enriching fellowship time with
the children at Brand New Day.
The Sunday
School team consisted of Sunday School teachers (Mrs.
Udaya Pulipati, Mrs.Susan Bushi, Mr. Louis Dundi and Mrs.
Suneela Damarapu) and Sunday School children (Anish Saripalli,
Stephen Bushi, Philip Moody, Daniel Moody and Sharon Bushi).
Brand
New Day is a non-profit organization that provides affordable
housing to low income people with children. Due to the lack of
transportation, the children do not get the opportunity to
leave their neighborhood. The organization encourages
people-families from other Christian communities to have
fellowship time with their children. They sought donations of
toys for children, as they wanted the children to be happy,
and to brighten their spirits during Christmas season.
Our
children presented Christmas songs and some memory verses.
Mrs. Susan Bushi taught all the children a new song and all of
us joined together and worshipped our God holding each
other’s hands. Mr. Louis Dundi presented a story called “A
Very Special Day” about the birth of Jesus and His Second
Coming on a Flannel Board. Another story about the “Candy
Canes” was presented by Mrs.Susan Bushi. The children
enjoyed the story time.
We
had some snacks for lunch. The Christmas gifts and Goody Bags
were distributed to the children. The Management of Brand New
Day thanked UECF for the fellowship time and all the gifts.
They said quote ”This was just what they needed” unquote.
When
we wanted to organize this activity, we had no idea about the
place we had to visit. Rev. Ravinder suggested ‘Brand New
Day, Inc.,’ to us. God has guided us every step of the way
and we are grateful for His presence and protection with us at
all times.

Brand New Day children.

Mrs. Shyam Pilli and Mr. & Mrs. Phani Pilli for spending
their time and
resources to buy Christmas gifts for the Brand
New Day children and also for gift
wrapping them.

Last but not
the least, I would like to thank our President and Treasurer
for
accompanying us on this visit and for being very helpful
to us in making all the
arrangements for this program.
